This book teaches you how to develop an android app, starting from how to install the necessary softwares and sdk. And it is updated and very easy to follow even though you don't have any experience in mobile app programming. If you know some object-oriented programming before, it won't be hard for you to follow along with this book.
Neil provides a super overview with very clear explanations of how to implement Google's IAB (In-App-Billing). Really liked his explanations for Touch and Multi-Touch event handling. Eureka! I finally understand how to correctly implement custom on-screen gestures. I'm going to purchase his eBook on developing for the Fire. Considering my other 15 books on android app development ... this one's at the top of the list for value.
